Material claims need traceable support. We do not turn the number of search results into proof, and syndicated copies do not count as independent corroboration.
We represent relevant positions fairly and avoid loaded language. A fringe assertion does not deserve equal weight merely because it contradicts well-supported evidence.
Headlines, summaries, charts and body text must describe the same verified information. We avoid curiosity gaps, exaggerated certainty and misleading implications.
We support professional competence, transparent standards and fair opportunities to develop ability. Success alone does not prove that the conditions in which it was achieved were fair.
Significant errors should be corrected visibly. A corrected article must pass fresh checks rather than retaining an obsolete approval.
